The collision in May 2010 caused numerous serious injuries for Alan including a broken right and left wrist, a broken shoulder blade and a severely shattered pelvis. He needed to be airlifted from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Following the accident Alan was constantly in and out of hospital, he felt he was the ‘most unlucky person alive’ and his family were stuck in a horrific nightmare. He was then faced with the challenge of recovering, which was aided by the constant support he received from his wife and family. Alan and his wife had to move from their house following the accident, as due to the injuries it was unsuitable for his needs. His family cared for him and took the road to recovery one day at a time, rehabilitation and help from his legal team at Fletchers assisted his recuperation.
Alan instructed Fletchers to handle his case and commented:
Louise and Kirsty at Fletchers were amazing, guiding us through into unknown territory, every step of the way with kindness. They were always very professional and supportive and at times only a phone call away from any worries, the personal touch made all the difference for me and my family.
Alan now lives in a lovely bungalow, which is perfect for his needs giving him much more extra space so he is able to work towards restoring his independence. He also stated “Fletchers dealt with my claim, what an excellent choice that turned out to be.”
