JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Talent & Resourcing Specialist

ROLE:

Responsible for delivering the talent and recruitment strategy as set out by the Head of People.  The focus of this role is to recruit, retain and grow our People.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

RECRUITMENT

  • End to end co-ordination and management of the recruitment and selection process
  • Ensuring correct and up to date job descriptions are provided by the hiring manager, and provide guidance where necessary
  • Managing headcount approval requests – ensuring hiring manager is completing correctly
  • Supporting hiring managers with the review of CVs and job applications
  • Training and coaching hiring managers in interviewing techniques – both technical and behavioural to ensure right skills and right cultural fit
  • Managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as part of the HRMIS
  • Managing all recruitment portals – job centre, job boards etc ensuring effective cost-budgeting and return on investment in terms of prime candidates for roles
  • Managing relationships with recruitment agencies – ensuring competitive fee charges and excellent service
  • Management of our Careers website, ensuring content is engaging and up to date – relevant to the candidates we are looking to attract
  • Ensuring social presence reflects the brand and works towards recruitment goals
  • Aware of our main competition recruitment presence and look at ways to stay one step ahead
  • Constantly researching and striving to improve recruitment tools and processes to move the firm forward in line with or ahead of the general recruitment landscape
  • Produce reports on recruitment statistics from internal data and external forces
  • Manage and monitor internal tracking documents
  • Arrange interviews including booking rooms
  • Communicate with candidates to advise of progress and outcomes of applications at each stage
  • Attend events such as recruitment fairs and careers events off site

 

TALENT MANAGEMENT

  • Working closely with the Head of People to identify the ‘top 20%’ talent ready to progress
  • Successfully engages Managers in all aspects of the talent plan
  • Supports managers in devising and working with a succession plan for their team, managing expectations clearly
  • Coaching managers to be able to identify and grow the potential in their team
  • Achieve an internal progression rate of 30%
  • Management and co-ordination of internal progression programmes e.g. Period of Recognised Training (PoRT)

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of Recruiting from Junior to Senior level
  • Skilled in multichannel recruitment platforms using social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc
  • HR experience – performance management and succession planning
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to analyse data and present findings
  • Ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and challenge current practices
